Our craftsmen and ladies work their magic everyday to produce stunning silverware. But we think it’s time you got to know our talented team starting off with Bill Perry.
Q. So Bill what do you do at Broadway Silversmiths?
A. I’m a Silversmith and I’ve been here for 16 years – I started off doing the brushes for example fitting the bristles and now I’m doing a bit of everything including engraving and polishing.
Q. What has been your most memorable moment at Broadway Silversmiths?
A. It was when I made my first candelabra (a candle holder with multiple arms). Putting it together was something I was very proud of.
Q. If you met William Broadway (the founder of the company) what would you say?
A. You’ve done a good job, as he started off on his own – he must have been an amazing man.
Q. What do you do in your spare time?
A. I like to do some gardening and also enjoy putting mountain bikes together.
Q. What’s your favourite cuisine/food?
A. I’d eat anything.
Q. What’s your favourite drink?
A. A cup of tea.
Q. What’s your most embarrassing moment?
A. When I was a young lad – around 10 years old – I was running along with my cousin and I felt a draught. I looked down at my trousers and my flies were open – I was like oops I hope no one saw that!
Q. Describe what it is like working at Broadway?
A. We all get on well here and have a laugh now and again – really enjoy it.
